The 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) for the 2025–2030 term was solemnly held in Hanoi from August 2–3, 2025. This important political event marked a new milestone in Party building efforts and set strategic development orientations for the Group in the coming period. The Congress had the honor of welcoming Comrade Pham Minh Chinh – Politburo Member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, and Prime Minister – who attended and delivered guidance.

A total of 238 exemplary delegates from across the country, representing the will and aspirations of nearly 14,000 Party members and approximately 55,000 employees of Petrovietnam, gathered to attend the Congress.

At the Congress, delegates discussed and approved the Political Report, the Review Report of the 2020–2025 Executive Committee, and outlined directions, goals, and tasks for the 2025–2030 term.

The Congress elected the 4th-term Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, including 37 members. At its first meeting, the newly elected Executive Committee elected a 12-member Standing Committee.
Comrade Le Manh Hung was re-elected as Secretary of the Petrovietnam Party Committee. Comrades Le Ngoc Son and Tran Quang Dung were unanimously re-elected as Deputy Secretaries.
The Executive Committee also elected six members to the Inspection Commission of the 4th-term Party Committee.
Comrade Nguyen Van Mau – Member of the Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Management and Executive Office, and Member of the Members’ Council – was elected as Chairman of the Inspection Commission.
Additionally, the Congress elected 14 official delegates and two alternates to attend the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.
On behalf of the 4th-term Executive Committee, Comrade Le Manh Hung – Party Secretary and Chairman of the Members’ Council – emphasized that the greater the honor, the heavier the responsibility, especially amid the unpredictable and complex global and domestic situation, posing many challenges to Petrovietnam.
With firm trust, a sense of responsibility, and the highest political determination, the 4th-term Executive Committee pledged to uphold discipline and solidarity, foster collective wisdom, and cultivate a spirit of boldness and innovation. It aims to fulfill its role as the political nucleus in leading the Group to successfully implement the 4th Congress’s resolutions.
Building on the heroic tradition of "those who seek fire," with the spirit of "one team – one goal," the Party Committee will promote democracy, enhance leadership efficiency, and build a strong, comprehensive organization. It will strive to develop a powerful, competitive, and pioneering Group in energy transition and sustainable green growth – making active contributions to the nation’s new era of development.
